Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 19, 2026
We respect your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. It applies to our website and platform (the Services).
Controller/Operator: Studygram PTY LTD (ABN 472 603 971), 426A Glenhuntly Road, Elsternwick, VIC, 3185, Australia. Contact: info@studygram.com.au.
1) What we collect
Account & school info — name (or code), email, class/year level, school and role.
Student assessment data — questionnaire choices, persona matches, summaries, tips, and any plans or notes students save.
Technical & usage data — device/browser info, IP address, pages viewed, timestamps, diagnostics and security logs.
Support & comms — messages you send us, preferences.
Payments (if applicable) — processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card details.
2) How we use data
- Provide, secure, and improve the Services.
- Generate student results and display to authorised teachers/schools.
- Provide aggregated cohort insights to schools (without selling or targeting students).
- Communicate about updates or support.
- Comply with law and prevent misuse.
- Run privacy-preserving analytics and product improvement (often in aggregate or de-identified form).
We do not sell personal information and we do not use student data for targeted advertising.
3) Legal bases (where applicable)
- Contract (providing the Services);
- Consent (e.g., parent/guardian or school consent for students);
- Legitimate interests (security, service improvement, non-intrusive analytics);
- Legal obligation (e.g., responding to lawful requests).
4) Students & young people
- We work primarily with senior secondary students.
- Where required, we obtain consent via the School or a parent/guardian; as a general rule, students under 15 require such consent.
- A code may be used instead of a name to minimise personal data.
- No targeted ads, profiling for advertising, or sale of student data.
6) International transfers
If data is processed outside Australia, we use legally recognised safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) or equivalent measures. Details available on request.
7) Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal requirements. Schools can request deletion of student accounts; students may also request deletion where applicable.
8) Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, logging, regular reviews). No system is 100% secure.
9) Your choices & rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, download, or restrict processing of your personal information.
- Students should generally route requests through their School for verification.
- Others can contact info@studygram.com.au.
11) De-identified & aggregated data
We may create and use de-identified or aggregated data (e.g., completion rates) to improve the Services, develop features, or share insights with schools. This data cannot reasonably identify an individual.
12) Third-party links
If we link to third-party sites, their privacy practices apply to their services.
13) Changes to this policy
We'll post any changes here with a new "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we may notify school admins in-product.
